After my friends from Maui and Big Island left I wasn’t really motivated to do anything on ZERO.  But since yesterday when I epoxied the padeyes to strap down the dinghy into the deck I found my rhythm again. Today I finished the last part of the maststeps. I tied a thin rope around the outer tips to prevent the halyards to tangle around them.
I don’t want to climb the mast again offshore just because the halyard cuddle with the maststeps.
And when I was up there anyway I did the rigcheck.. Everything looks good and the only thing I did was adding a couple cable ties to the vhf cable running down the main.
Directly afterwards I digged out my divegear and started scraping the bottom. Man I tell you there was serious growth sometimes around 2 inches thick.. And hard shells everywhere..

I couldn’t finish the whole Hull because I ran out of air but my neighbors have a dive compressor and will refill my tanks tomorrow.. So I can finish what I started..
After drying I did a couple little tasks like repairing a door lock when Jonathan paddled by and convinced me to have a nice sunset surfsession..
The waves were small but it was wonderful and very refreshing..

Now we’re swinging gently in the almost flat bay and enjoy the good feeling of a great day!

It feels good to have a couple more checks on my list..and I’m getting closer to be ready for departure..
Aloha
