after 4 weeks in the Hawaii yacht club we finally untied our lines and went outside the harbor to live on anchor again. BUT it was rocking like hell out there and after 3 days we were done and we left to anchor in keehi lagoon. Calm waters and almost no movement in the boat at all. Yes!

When we arrived at the club we planned to stay only a couple days but extended our stay every week for another week and stayed until the day after Halloween.

We had the chance to use the workshop in the yacht club and got a lot things done on ZERO. Rebecca sanded and varnished our teak rails, hatches and dinghy parts. I replaced the genua tracks, rebuild our windlass (again), overhauled our lapstrake dinghy and a lot other things.

Thanks for having us at your club. We enjoyed the nice people very much.

And we bought another dinghy. We had the chance to get a used apex 11″ inflatable. It needed some attention and couldn’t hold the air longer than a couple hours. We cleaned it and fixed the holes so now we have a very good inflatable.

This morning we set sails to Pokai bay. Around 30 nm to the west. Tiffany, Eric and Jessy, friends we meet at the club join us for the weekend. We had an awesome sail and anchor in calm waters just in front of a beautiful beach. I even had a small sunset surf session.

So we had a wonderful day and it will end with a very tasty dinner. It smells awesome allready.. Yummy!
