I’m very shortly passing latitude 33. That means I’m north of San Diego already. ZERO is flying with 7,5 kn over the ocean. Occasionally doing over 8 knots. The boat movement is very steady and I could Sail like this all the way to Kodiak..

Even its over an hour ago I still have the delicious taste of another crispy tuna in my mouth and I could eat another fillet if I had any room left but I’m so stuffed that I think I have to wait until tomorrow to add any food at all.

Yesterday morning I choosed classics and had Tchaikovsky for breakfast which made me feel very small out here. This morning I choosed oldies and shared my breakfast smoothy with rhythms of chuck berry or the Beatles. Way better! It made me pick a book and the rest of the morning I was reading in the cockpit. “In search of captain Zero” is a surf / roadtrip story about finding an old friend..

There was another anomality this morning.. While brushing my teeth I felt cold water coming out of the tab. That means the oceantemperature is going down and cooles the watertanks. Its actually very refreshing.. I didn’t had that for over a year now.. Water temp is down to 24 degree C. From around 30 degree at Hawaii.. It will get a lot cooler soon..

My VHF is picking up some interferences. That could mean another ship is somewhere out here but neither by eye nor by radar or AIS I can find one.

  1. Sounds great…. with ya days and nights, Cap’n.

So nice to hear all is well – a tight ship is a safe ship.

Looking forward to your safe passage and stories of victory and success.
