it’s time to say Goodbye!
Goodbye to the beautiful Hawaiian Islands, Goodbye to the awesome warm climate, Goodbye to the warm water and Goodbye to all the amenities shore life has to offer..

Tomorrow morning I’ll pull up anchor and set sails for the the BIGGEST ADVENTURE in my whole life.

SAILING SOLO ACROSS THE PACIFIC OCEAN!!!

The plan is to sail directly from Hanalei Bay on Kauai to Dutch Harbor on the Aleutian Islands. SO almost straight NORTH. This is a distance of about 2.000 nm and I hope I can manage to sail it withing around 16 days.

16 days just ZERO, the ocean and ME! It’s exciting and kind of scary at the same time. I never did such a long passage on my own and especially not with all the specialties of the Alaskan Waters on Top, like fog, rain, cold weather, strong tidal currents, lots of fishing boats etc.. But I prepared ZERO the last days and both of us are ready to go!!

SO we will see how I can handle this..
